Studio Kahn was founded in 2009 by Mey Kahn and Boaz Kahn. They graduated from the Department of Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy in Israel. Studio Kahn designs, develops, and produces design-art products and specializes in precise ceramic castings developed in 3D software. The company’s work is characterized by clean and minimalistic forms with high finish, containing cultural and social statements. The studio won several prizes and exhibited in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including 100 years to Bezalel exhibition Paris, Green Heart Award IIDA Korea, Polonsky Award for excellence in design, DesignTide Tokyo, Sotheby’s Israel Design-Dream Exhibition, Israeli Biennale for Ceramics – Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, Lodz Design Festival and the solo exhibition From Mold to Fragment – Studio-Kahn at The Design Museum Holon.
The Studio is located in Ramot Hashavim in Israel, featuring a workshop, a design office, and a gallery shop that is open to the public. The workshop produces all of the studio’s products and also provides development and serial production services to other designers. Professional evening courses for adults that teach the technique of casting ceramic molds are held in the workshop, as well.
